The ISPY Legacy

Now rebranded as ‘International Sales Professionals of the Year’, ISPY was formerly known as the Inflight Sales Person of the Year.

ISPY was a sales training, assessment, reward and recognition event for the world’s greatest selling cabin crew. It celebrated its 15th anniversary in January 2016.

ISPY provided a unique platform for collaborative learning, confidence-building, networking, showcasing and rewarding excellence. It was the only event which brought all the relevant industry stakeholders together.

ISPY created the International Best Practice Standards for inflight sales, which are the foundation of most airlines’ crew sales training programmes. Many airlines have since set up their own training Academies, based on the ISPY model.

ISPY raised the profile of cabin crew and highlighted how they are integral to the success of inflight retail programmes. Many crew who participated in ISPY have subsequently been promoted; become specialist inflight ambassadors/coaches; or moved into retail/training.
